She soon discovers why she has purple eyes and it comes with an anointing, connected to a long-lost prophecy, and the awakening of magical powers.

After an excruciatingly painful experience, Mageia finds out she is not just the thief with purple eyes, but she is the Fairest of Valeera. A position ordained to one person in a special bloodline that sets her above every Royal and gives her magic from the god, Hamino. But she’s not ready to accept it. The only important thing on her mind right now is getting her family out of Ardania as soon as possible before her world comes crashing around her again.

But her awakened magic has other plans in mind and darker forces from the Serene are at work seeking to invade Valeera. Everyone is in danger and Mageia must leave everyone and thing behind to take a voyage across the Aris Sea to seek and free the elder Fairest. With some unexpected helpers whom Mageia does not trust, she must focus on controlling and training her magic while tackling strange emotional pulls between two young men.
